Earthworks & Plumbing For Shed To Tank Connections

At a site in Gnarwarre, VIC, a client required a reliable solution to connect their shed to a GT250 Monument Pioneer Water Tank that we had previously installed. This project involved comprehensive earthworks and plumbing to create an integrated and efficient water management system.

To meet these needs, STS developed a thorough plan. The project began with precise earthworks, utilising advanced plant machinery such as an excavator and bobcat. We excavated trenches for the pipework connections between the shed and the water tank, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Once the trenching was complete, our team proceeded with the plumbing work. This included connecting the tank’s inlet, outlets, and overflow systems to the shed’s ground-level plumbing. We ensured that all necessary connections were made from the shed’s base to the tank, facilitating effective water collection and management.

After completing the earthworks and plumbing, we conducted thorough checks to ensure all connections were seamless and fully operational. This step was crucial to provide the client with a dependable water storage solution.

The successful connection of the shed to the GT250 Monument Pioneer Water Tank at the Gnarwarre site was achieved through accurate planning. Our combined efforts in earthworks and plumbing resulted in a robust and efficient water storage system. This project demonstrates STS's ability to deliver integrated water management solutions, enhancing the functionality and efficiency of the client’s water infrastructure.

Pioneer Water Tank Installation Inside Of Concrete Tank

At a site in Gisborne South, VIC, a client faced the challenge of a damaged concrete water tank with a collapsed roof and small cracks in the tank walls, causing leakage. To save on costs associated with earthworks and the construction of retaining walls around the hillside, STS proposed an innovative solution: constructing a new GT60 Zincalume Pioneer Water Tank inside the existing concrete tank.

To address these needs and ensure the effective and efficient installation of the water tank, STS implemented a detailed solution. The process began with the removal of the damaged tank components, including the collapsed roof and temporary roof tarp. Following the removal of the damaged components, we thoroughly cleaned the interior of the concrete tank, removing all sludge and debris. This ensured a clean and stable base for the new tank construction.

Given the existing tank's concrete base, we laid down protective geotextile fabric to prevent potential damage to the new tank liner. The GT60 Zincalume Pioneer Water Tank was constructed and installed inside the cleaned and prepared concrete tank. The new steel tank was built to fit securely within the existing structure. Upon completion of the tank construction, we installed the inlet, outlet, and overflow connections, ensuring seamless integration with the existing water management system.

Through this innovative approach, STS successfully rejuvenated the water storage capacity at the Gisborne South site. By constructing the GT60 Zincalume Pioneer Water Tank within the existing concrete tank, we provided a cost-effective solution that utilised the existing structure. This project not only restored the functionality of the water tank but also ensured its durability and reliability for years to come. The client benefited from significant cost savings and an efficient water storage system that meets their needs.

By choosing this method, the client avoided the extensive earthworks and additional construction that would have been necessary for a completely new installation. The final result is a high-quality, durable water storage solution that leverages existing resources while providing modern functionality and efficiency.

Pioneer Water Tank Installations, Earthworks & Plumbing

At a site in Nowhere Creek, VIC, a client required a comprehensive water storage solution involving the construction and installation of two GT50 woodland grey Pioneer water tanks. This project encompassed earthworks, trenching, and extensive plumbing to ensure a fully integrated system.

To address these needs and ensure the effective and efficient installation of the water tanks, STS implemented a detailed solution. The process began with the on-site construction and installation of the two GT50 woodland grey Pioneer water tanks. These tanks were positioned next to each other and plumbed to balance with one another, ensuring even water distribution and optimal storage capacity.

Following the tank installation, we utilised our advanced plant machinery, including excavators, to conduct extensive earthworks. This involved precise trenching for the necessary pipework connections. The trenching facilitated seamless plumbing and ensured the stability and efficiency of the water system.

Next, we proceeded with the comprehensive plumbing work. This included connecting the tanks’ inlets, outlets, and overflow connections. Additionally, we installed plumbing for all down piping for the sheds, ensuring thorough water management. The project also involved installing a CFA remote outlet and outlet taps at the shed, providing convenient access to water and meeting all regulatory requirements.

Through meticulous planning and execution, STS successfully completed the installation and integration of the Pioneer water tanks at the Nowhere Creek site. The combined efforts in earthworks, trenching, and plumbing ensured a reliable and efficient water storage system. This project highlights our capability to deliver large-scale, complex water management solutions, reinforcing the longevity and functionality of the water infrastructure for our clients.

By implementing this comprehensive approach, we have significantly enhanced the water storage capacity and operational efficiency at the Nowhere Creek site, ensuring the client has a reliable and effective water management system for years to come

Well Tank Clean & Liner Installation

At a Glen Park site, a client had a brick-and-mortar well tank that required essential rejuvenation to maintain its operational efficiency and ensure the stored water was of high drinking quality. Over time, the well tank had accumulated debris and sludge, which needed to be cleared to ensure suction line functionality and maintain clean water quality.

To address these needs and ensure the well tank's continued effective and safe use, STS implemented a detailed solution. The process began with a thorough cleaning of the tank using our hydro-excavation suction vacuum and pressure washer. This step removed all debris and sludge, thoroughly preparing the interior surfaces.

Following the cleaning, we installed protective geotextile fabric on the floor, walls, and centre support beam of the well tank. This fabric protects the new liner from any sharp or abrasive elements within the well's construction.

Next, we installed the new liner, manufactured locally by C. E. Bartlett Tank Liners in Ballarat, Victoria. The liner was carefully tailored to fit around the existing structural posts and extended to the highest point of the tank to maximise its effective capacity.

To complete the project, we cut and installed the overflow pipe, ensuring proper plumbing connections. Additionally, the suction line for the pump was reinstalled, restoring full tank functionality. After the installation, a water cart was ordered to refill the tank with fresh water.

Through this comprehensive rejuvenation, including the use of locally sourced liner materials, we have significantly enhanced the well tank's performance and durability. This project ensures that the well tank in Glen Park remains a reliable and effective component of the water system, ready to serve its intended purpose efficiently for many years to come.
